The team transforms ADAS vehicle telemetry data into business-analytics-ready assets that support reporting, investigation, KPI tracking, and downstream analytics.

Getting Access
All requests to access GM data must be reviewed and approved by GM’s privacy team via the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) tool. GM’s PIA tool helps to identify, assess, and mitigate privacy risks associated with a particular product or service—especially when it collects, uses, stores, or shares personal data. If a PIA has not been approved for your use case, you can submit one using the link: epia.gm.com.

Curated Gold Assets
Smart System Learning (Task 1414) Data
- 1414 Active Safety Event Data Recorder (EDR): Captures detailed vehicle context around crash and active safety triggers to support safety investigation, engineering analysis, and regulatory reporting. Events include Forward Collision Warnings, Automatic Emergency Braking events, and crash events.
- 1414 Active Safety Operational Statistics (OpStats): Continuously summarizes active safety feature behavior during vehicle operation using metrics such as time in state, event counts, transition counts, and operating-condition histograms.
- 1414 Smart System Learning (SSL) EDR: The feature-specific Smart System Learning event data recorder that captures configurable timeseries and related context for SSL triggers under Task 1414. Datasets include lateral oscillation, lane departure, driver monitoring, lane change behavior, rear impact mitigation, and proximity metric violation.
- 1414 SSL OpStats: The Smart System Learning operational statistics asset intended to continuously track feature-specific operational behavior using configurable and calibratable logic under Task 1414. Datasets include advanced park assist, driver monitoring, and vehicle dynamics.
- 1414 History Buffer: Stores rolling disengagement-related snapshots across the vehicle lifecycle, including counts and first/last odometer, GPS, and UTC context for trend and diagnostic analysis.
Super Cruise Events (Task 1411) Data
- Super Cruise Events: The granular event-level table where each record represents a single Super Cruise state transition transmitted from the vehicle.
- Super Cruise Availability Statistics: Aggregates event-level data into availability partitions with engagement metrics so users can analyze utilization, disengagement patterns, and escalation hotspots at the session level.
- Super Cruise Trip Statistics: The trip-level aggregation of 1411 events that summarizes Super Cruise activity within each drive from key-on to key-off.
- Super Cruise Escalation Labeling: Transforms raw state-change events into analysis-ready labeled records with precomputed escalation flags, reason labels, and session identifiers for fast root-cause analysis.
Intermediate Staging Tables
We also generate several aggregated data assets of 1411 and 1414 event data to enable efficient scorecard and topline metric reporting.

Super Cruise Scorecard
A centralized dashboard for leadership and partner teams that consolidates core Super Cruise product and engineering metrics into a single harmonized view, making it easier to monitor trends, uncover opportunities, and support ongoing software and product decisions. It serves as a single source of truth for key KPIs spanning customer engagement, performance, safety, commercial health, and domain coverage, such as MAU, utilization, SCETO, miles per disengagement, total subscribers, and million miles per incident, with monthly and rolling trend views plus filtering by vehicle attributes and other critical dimensions.
Super Cruise Disengagements Dashboard
This dashboard helps Super Cruise systems and product teams analyze disengagement behavior, with a specific focus on supporting disengagement-reduction goals and surfacing customer pain points, quality escapes, and product opportunities. It brings together key disengagement metrics and context, especially around driver take-overs and escalations, so teams can monitor real-time product quality and track performance per software release against KPIs such as miles per disengagement and miles per escalation.
Super Cruise Incident Investigations
Incident Investigator and 1414 Crash Notification help the Safety Field Investigation team detect qualifying crash events, analyze vehicle and Super Cruise context, and deliver timely reporting for regulatory needs. Both services are deployed within Databricks on AV data mesh tables, with cloud-native processing, Slack-based notifications, and Databricks-hosted output files that make reporting faster and easier for the investigation team.
Terra Super Cruise Events Visualization Tool
GM’s cloud-based successor to the legacy Elastic/Kibana Super Cruise dashboard now serves as the primary tool for Super Cruise event investigation and root-cause analysis. Built on Databricks and Terra’s geospatial platform, it adds richer map interaction, stronger search and filtering, and fast event visualization while supporting GM’s OneMap strategy to consolidate map-based tools onto a single platform.
