Overview​

HR subject area under Corp Functions supports HR, Talent, Medical & Physical Security related systems data. This subject area has all employee information starting from Hire to Exit.

Key Benefits​

This subject area supports 'People Analytics' business team providing with lot of valuable metrics for Talent Acquisition, Retention and Headcount reporting.

Getting Access​

All requests to access GM data must be reviewed and approved by GM’s privacy team via the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) tool. GM’s PIA tool helps to identify, assess, and mitigate privacy risks associated with a particular product or service—especially when it collects, uses, stores, or shares personal data. If a PIA has not been approved for your use case, you can submit one using the link: epia.gm.com.

How to Get Access to HR Data

  • Instructions will be provided once onboarding to Data Mesh is complete.
  • Access Levels - Access to Basic data elements. For example, data available in People Finder.
  • Advanced data elements etc. that are still being determined and will be available shortly.

  • HR datasets are currently being migrated to Data Mesh. Data catalogs without SPI data elements will be published and available once migration is complete.
