Overview​

HUB distribute the VEQ applications source data, (vehicle content, models, options and part data) to multiple applications.

Key Benefits​

HUB distributes GPDS and other Product Development data. GPDS is a common GM specification & releasing sys. It serves the engineering & spec department of GM. GPDS info supports the entire product development life cycle, from concept to prod. The across-the-board implementation of GPDS has allowed the sharing of all part & veh configuration info. It serves as a centralized part catalog, a model/option configuration, a bill of material controller, a design-work planner, an authorization/work order system and an information distributor.

Getting Access​

All requests to access GM data must be reviewed and approved by GM’s privacy team via the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) tool. GM’s PIA tool helps to identify, assess, and mitigate privacy risks associated with a particular product or service—especially when it collects, uses, stores, or shares personal data. If a PIA has not been approved for your use case, you can submit one using the link: epia.gm.com.

How to Get Access to Product Program Data

  • Need Data Sharing agreement with data owner: Request Access
  • Access Levels: Read only, Application to application - Non-Human interface.
